THIS is Bernie, a small, red tan-and-black two-year-old wire-haired Jack Russell crossbreed terrier in the care of RSPCA Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire Branch.

He is a very lively, cute, long haired, fluffy little man who is looking for his forever home.

Geraldine Haynes, branch trustee, said: "Bernie is in good condition, with a soft coat. He did not have a good start in life and can be sensitive with handling, so needs an owner who will be mindful of this and have a gentle approach with him.

"Bernie is very much a typical Jack Russell, who needs a new home with no children or other pets, as he likes his humans all to himself. His ideal home is where he could be one to one.

"A new owner, preferably with knowledge of the breed, needs to be fully committed to Bernie and prepared to put in time and effort.

"Bernie just needs someone with patience and understanding, who will love him and he will be a loyal little friend."

He is housetrained, vet checked, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Please ring Geraldine on 01886 822083 if you feel you could offer him the loving home he deserves.
