A SCHOOL raised nearly £280 for St Richard's Hospice with a Pyjamas and Bed Hair Day.
A Year 5 pupil at Grimley and Holt Primary School whose mum is currently fighting cancer came up with the fundraiser which took place on Monday.
A special assembly was held on Thursday, in which a cheque for £279.30 was handed over to Claire James, fundraiser at the Worcester hospice.
She said they were "thrilled to receive such a generous donation".
"We are so impressed by the pupils’ fundraising efforts and are very grateful to each and every one of them for such fantastic support. The money they have raised will help us continue our care to patients and their loved ones into the future."
