WORCESTER City Council has said flowers left in memory of a tragic teenager are to stay at Sabrina Bridge for the time being.
The paper reported yesterday that the inquest into Alessandro Frumenzi is to be held in September.
The 18-year-old, from Romania, was spotted going into the river off Sabina Bridge on June 29. After a major search the student's body was found in the river Severn near Kempsey.
When the death was announced floral tributes were left underneath the bridge, on the racecourse side of the river. The tributes include a picture of a Romanian flag, with the words RIP Alessandro 2001-2019.
The flowers appear to be staying for the time being as a Worcester City Council spokesman: “There are no immediate plans to remove the flowers.”
