A CAMPAIGN against knife crime is holding a football match to raise awareness this weekend.

Evesham United’s The Spires & Hartwell Jubilee Stadium, in Cheltenham Road, is the venue for the 'Big Joe Egan's All Star Football Match', with the event taking place from 1pm this Sunday, July 14.

The match is between All Stars and Growers United FC, and on the teams will be world boxing champions, British bare knuckle boxing champions, kick boxing champions, MMA fighters and actors.

Organisers say: “Stand up to say No to knife crime and to protect our kids and future generations.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to attend such a rare event.”

The event is being supported by Winning Mindset, Growers United, SKD, and Trust the Tractor.

Tickets cost £10, and organisers say everyone is welcome to attend.
