MORE than 50 Wooden Spoon members attended the charity s wine tasting event at Bottles Wine Bar in Worcester.
The event, on Thursday July 4, raised over £1,300 for disadvantaged children within Worcestershire helped by sponsorship of the evening by Paul Valentine and Spire Communication.
The evening consisted of Richard Everton leading a blind tasting of various wines from around the world but with a focus on US tipples.
Raffle prizes included two magnums donated by Richard and an overnight stay in Steve and Kathy Lloyd's award winning Malvern B&B.
Wooden Spoon's next event is the Rugby World Cup breakfast on Saturday October 12 at WRFC clubhouse.
It's £20 per ticket which includes a full English breakfast prior to the 9.15am kick off. Over half the tickets have been sold already. Contact Vince Hopkins at vh@brigroup.co.uk for more.
