A BROMSGROVE company is helping to tee up some important funds for charity by sponsoring a special golf day next week.

Security and threat management specialist Ecl-ips, based at Harris Business Park in Stoke Prior, is backing Edwards Trust’s annual 'Golf Day' on Monday, July 8.

The event, being held at Warwickshire Golf and Country Club, will raise money for the charity which provides holistic family bereavement services across the West Midlands.

It has been organised over the past ten years by Edward’s Trust ambassador Richard Page who has raised more than £100,000 to date.

Edward’s Trust - now in its 30th year - was set up in 1989 by Peter and Hilary Dent in memory of their son Edward, who died aged seven of cancer at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

There will be individual and team prizes for those taking part in the Golf Day as well as great auction and raffle prizes.

Edward’s Trust provides support to bereaved, or about to be bereaved, parents.

It also supports children and young people of school age who are bereaved, or are about to be bereaved, of a parent, significant carer or sibling.

Aaron Kernaghan, managing director of Ecl-ips, himself a keen golfer, said: “Edwards Trust provides vital services to families across the West Midlands.

"Ecl-ips likes to support local charities and sponsoring this Golf Day is a great way for us to do that.”
