A WORCESTER musical theatre youth group is appealing for two BMX bikes and an American football for its next show – Back to the 80’s.

WODYS – Worcester Operatic and Dramatic Society Youth Section – is staging Back to the 80’s at the city’s Swan Theatre from Tuesday to Saturday, July 30 to Saturday, August 3, including a Saturday matinee performance, and needs the bikes for one of the principals to ride on stage.

One of the bikes has to be old and battered and the other new which is received as a gift in the show.

Niki Payne, head of the props team, said: “They are for Alfie Rudd, who plays the part of Corey Palmer (junior), to ride so they do need to be operational.

“We are also trying to find an American football and two toy light sabers if anyone has them at home.”

Back to the 80’s is set in the era that brought the world the Rubik’s Cube, Max Headroom and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the musical is in the style of films such as Back To The Future.
