TENBURY students have featured in an exercise by Malvern Hills District Council codenamed ‘Bigger Picture’ to better understand issue concerning young people.
Tony Penn reported on the project to Tenbury Town Council.
“A meeting has been held with 10 young people to discuss the results of our Bigger Picture survey,” said Mr Penn, who represents Tenbury on Malvern Hills District Council.
“The survey was completed by over 1,200 young people across the district.
“Individual reports for the schools that took part – Tenbury, Chase, Chantry, and Hanley have been prepared to see if there are specific areas on which the District Council can offer support.”
Concerns have been raised about the lack of facilities and things to do for young people living in isolated rural areas like Tenbury.
Sue Perry, Mayor of Tenbury, has identified supporting the young people as a key priority for the Town Council.
She is concerned at the problems faced by young people living in isolated rural areas like Tenbury and the Teme Valley.
Unlike younge people living in cities and larger towns there can often be little to do.
