HEREFORD fans have been given the chance to play in Rob Purdie's testimonial match.

A Hereford FC XI side will take on a Hereford United XI side at Edgar Street on Sunday, May 12.

The details of the teams are yet to be released but the two captains will be Joel Edwards and Tony James.

Six lucky Hereford fans will be drawn out of a hat and will play 10 minutes each in the match.

Supporters will need to purchase a £5 Squad Player Raffle ticket by emailing aande-kefalos@live.co.uk.

The email should include your name, age and team preference. You will then receive an email of how to get your E-Ticket.

Purdie will randomly draw the six winners which will be announced at the Hereford FC home game against AFC Telford United on April 20.

The winning fans will be given a ten-minute cameo on pitch for either Hereford FC or Hereford United.

The first fans will feature for either side between 60 and 70minutes before being substituted for another fan to play between 70 and 80minutes, with the final two playing between 80-90 minutes.

All proceeds of the fan's raffle will go towards Purdie's chosen charities for the day, The Adam Stansfield Foundation and the Junior Bulls.

The match will pause in the ninth minute to allow players and fans alike to remember Adam Stansfield with a minute applause.

Entrance is open to male and females aged 16 and above. All entrants must be fit and able to take part in the game.

Midfielder Purdie made over 500 appearances for the Bulls during two stints with Hereford United and the reformed Hereford FC before retiring at the end of last season.
