Worcester Warriors have again teamed up with Acorns Children’s Hospice for their annual charity match day.

The fundraising event will take place on February 24 at the Sixways Stadium and will see the Warriors face off against the Leicester Tigers.

Fans will be able to watch the game from the Acorns Charity Lounge, can enjoy a special Q&A session with Warriors rugby players and have the chance to win prizes.

Warriors operations director Peter Kelly said: “The club’s relationship with Acorns has gone from strength-to-strength once again this season and we are looking forward to hosting this season’s Charity Match day later this month.”

Acorns provides specialist care for children with life limiting and life threatening illnesses and offer support for their families. In the past year, the charity has cared for more than 870 children and supported more than 1,140 families, including those who are bereaved.

Annesa Hussain, corporate partnerships officer for Acorns, said. “We have such an incredible partnership with Warriors and we’re so grateful to the club and supporters who get behind us time and time again, especially as we rely on the local community to raise the majority of the funds we need to continue our work caring for children and families.”

A limited number of Charity Lounge tickets, which include a one-course meal, are available now, costing £30 for adults, £20 for under 16s and £15 for season ticket holders. Standing tickets are also available at £20 for adults, £15 for children.
