A CHARITY casino evening didn't quite go to plan when the roulette and blackjack tables didn't turn up – but £750 was still raised.
Organised by Vince Hopkins on behalf of Wooden Spoon, the 60-ticket event at the Old Pheasant in New Street, Worcester had sold out. Participants met next door in Bottles wine bar to await the tables but they never arrived.
Vince said: "Wooden Spoon members took everything in great spirit and donated their refund to the charity so we raised £750 for disadvantaged children in the county."
