IN an era of fast growing technology, the personal touch remains a prime tool for successful estate agents, Andrew Grant told more than 200 clients, business professionals and suppliers at his company’s annual seasonal reception at Worcestershire County Cricket Club.

Mr Grant, who has the area’s largest independent agency, said: “While we have call centres, progression teams and further technology that has been put into the business, all of this is of help of course, but personal contact is still of prime importance. Please try not to escape by sending an email rather than picking up a phone.

“We receive glowing testimonials that can be seen on our website and social media sites constantly, which proves the hard work and effort everyone is putting in to the business. Such testimonials produce more clients.

“With what is now provided, plus personal contact, it should lead us into the new world of estate agency for the coming years. I am grateful for your dedication and willingness to move forward. I would like to thank you all individually for help in creating the modern day estate agency”

He added that in the past year the business had achieved well over 1,000 property sales and in particular thanked retired chief executive David Stuart-Smith, who also attended the event to catch up with old friends and colleagues.

Mr Stuart-Smith’s successor, managing partner Kristian Stott, looked ahead to 2019 and outlined the advancements in technology the company has put in place this year for the benefit of its clients.

The reception ended with carols sung by children from Abberley Hall School.
