A MAN has been charged with the murder of a trangender Droitwich woman whose body was discovered at her home.
Amy Griffiths, aged 51, was discovered by police officers at her flat in Chalverton Court on Monday (January 14) night.
Amy, whose name was also given in court as Michael Griffiths, had head and throat injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
Martin Saberi, 53, of Brackley Close, Wallington, Surrey, was charged with the murder of Amy and appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court this morning.
Saberi was arrested by police officers in Hackney, London, on Monday night.
He refused to leave the cell at the magistrates court so the hearing was carried out in his absence.
Saberi is now due to appear at Worcester Crown Court tomorrow.
