A NEW visitor guide is hoping to attract potential holidaymakers to the Cotswolds this year.

The 2019 Cotswold Visitor Official Guide has been produced by Cotswolds Tourism and provides a whole range of ideas about how to best enjoy the beautiful countryside, quintessential English towns and villages, as well as the huge array of fantastic places to stay and things to see and do.

The guide, which includes discount vouchers and a competition, is in a handy A5 size and has a wide appeal both to people who know the Cotswolds and those who have never visited before.

Sally Graff, from Cotswolds Tourism, said: “2019 has the potential to be a big year for both domestic and international tourism as the weak pound continues to encourage UK residents to 'staycate', and makes the UK a very attractive destination for overseas visitors.

"We are working with Visit England and Visit Britain to showcase The Cotswolds and promote the wonderful attractions and amenities that our local tourism sector offers. ”

There has been 200,000 guides made, and will be available at travel trade shows. To view a web version for the guide for free visit cotswolds.com.
