DOUBLE Olympic skeleton champion Lizzie Yarnold announced her retirement from the sport just days after thrilling Primary School children in Tenbury.
The 29-year-old visited the Tenbury Primary School Academy where she also met children from Burford Primary School.
She was helping the school to raise funds for a running track as well as spreading the health and fitness message.
Children were shown some of the exercises that Lizzie Yarnold has done to keep in shape during her career.
She also showed them her two gold medals.
After being talent spotted, she was trained in the winter Olympic sport and won gold in Russia in 2014 and again in South Korea earlier this year.
But the sport has taken its toll and she had had to have surgery on both her back and knee.
