IT’S not madness to say that the ska legend known as Suggs will be bringing his life-story to Worcester’s Huntingdon Hall, this month.

And Madness hits will feature in the mix of words and music from the 70s and 80s and beyond, with other songs penned by Suggs himself.

The audience may even discover if his girl’s still mad at him, but if she’s not, it must be love.

Suggs, on this occasion, will take his audience on the roller coaster known as pop fame, having already explained how it all came about.

A spokesman said: “Due to huge popular demand, and following his first tour-de-force, smash hit, sell out tour; My Life Story, Suggs is back treading the boards again with a brand new show.

“If My Life Story was about how on earth he got there, his latest Suggs: What a King Cnut is about the surprises that awaited him when he did.”

The spokesman added: “Vertigo on the roof of Buckingham Palace, nearly blowing the closing ceremony of the Olympics, the embarrassing stuff that happened at Glastonbury. Things have gone a smidge surreal since the Madness frontman was a twelve year old in shorts on the tough streets of North London.

“Constantly expecting that inevitable tap on the shoulder to hear, ‘what are you doing here, sunshine?’, ‘how has he got this far’?

“In this business you can be washed up at any minute. So how has he managed to get away with it for so long?”

With help from Deano his trusty pianist, he tells his story in words and music with the help of some Madness classics and a couple more what he wrote all on himself.

The spokesman added: Graham ‘Suggs’ McPherson – front-man of the much-loved seven-piece ska pop band Madness, and sometime radio DJ and television personality – has always been a multi-talented all-round performer.

“Tickets to see this living legend in action are selling fast.”

Suggs will be at Huntingdon Hall on Tuesday, October 16.
