A MAN was rescued from the Malvern Hills after breaking his ankle.
A fire crew helped paramedics access to the casualty who had suffered a compound fracture to his left ankle.
An emergency call was made around 10.25pm on Tuesday (June 5).
The Malvern firefighters and West Midlands Ambulance paramedics were able to move the man from the side of the hills, before he was taken to hospital by ambulance.
A Hereford & Worcester Fire Service spokeswoman said the firefighters used an Argocat vehicle, used to “manoeuvre the terrain a little easier”.
She added that the fire crew left the scene at just after midnight on Wednesday.
