A HGV has been cleared from the M5 after it caught fire this morning (Saturday, June 2).
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Bromsgrove and Droitwich stations were alerted to and attended the blaze near junction 5 (M42 J1) at about 10.25am.
On arrival the crews found the vehicle to have overheated, so they cooled the rear wheel brakes using a hose reel jet.
The firefighters were assisted by Highways West Midlands to escort the vehicle off the motorway to the nearby services.
