IT was not just the sky over the Malvern Hills that turned a peculiar hue this week; alert observers will have noticed that the buzzard sculpture in Rose Bank Gardens, Malvern, was glowing an unexpected pink in the evenings.
Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven is responsible for the strange apparition, achieved by placing pink filters over the regular spotlights, to mark October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Lexi Craigie of the unit said: “It is intended to remind people of all the good work that the haven
does, and raise awareness about breast cancer generally.”
