CHRISTMAS came early for Malvern Youth Centre thanks to a generous donation from the local Wilkinson store.
The team at the Edith Walk shop have given £500 to the centre in Albert Road North.
Adding to the festive joy, store manager Gary Harrison visited the centre to donate a Christmas tree, that he then helped decorate with baubles, lights and tinsel, provided by the store.
He said: “We enjoy supporting worthwhile local organisations, such as the youth centre. The decorations looked brilliant and everyone was full of Christmas cheer. The young people I met were a real credit to the hard work that the youth centre is involved with.”
Jon White, senior youth worker at the centre, said: “The money could not have come at a better time. We are planning to re-open as a drop-in and chill-out youth club in the New Year, as well as launching new schemes such as a media project and café team training. The money donated by Wilkinsons will be used to initiate these projects.”
