BUDDING photographers can show off their talents through an annual photography competition.

Worcestershire Wildlife Trust wants to see photographs that reflect the diversity of countryside and wildlife in the county.

Winning photographs will feature in the trust’s 2013 calendar which will go on sale from May next year.

Wendy Carter, the trust’s communications manager, said: “The competition is now in its third year and we’re constantly impressed by the photographs that are entered.

“We’ve had between 150 and 200 entries per competition so far which doesn’t necessarily sound like a lot but we have great difficulty choosing the winning shots.

“We’re looking for images that really capture a moment – whether that’s a field of dancing wildflowers, the struggle for a species to survive a harsh winter or a person’s encounter with wildlife.

“All we ask is that any images entered have been taken on one of our 70 plus nature reserves.”

Entries will also be considered for the trust’s range of greetings and Christmas cards.

Entry forms along with terms and conditions are available to download from the worcswildlifetrust.co.uk website.

The closing date is Monday, February 13.
