SPOOKY happenings for Malvern residents aged 55 and over will be taking place at Geraldine Court this Halloween.

From 2pm on Monday, October 31, Paul Harding and Helen Lee from Worcester-based Discover History will be entertaining the audience with ghostly local tales. There will also be a buffet.

The event has been organised by Gwen Draper and Joan Sutton who are members of Festival Housing’s Freetime scheme, which puts on workshops, talks, entertainment and traditional events for over-55s in the local community.

Mrs Sutton said: “The afternoon is open to everyone over 55 from the local community, not just residents of Geraldine Court. We hope as many people as possible come along to join in the fun and make new friends.”

Louise Lee, operations manager at Festival, added: “The idea behind Festival Freetime is to bring local people in the community together to make new friends, try new things and enjoy themselves. We would ask people who haven’t thought of coming along before to try it out, it could open new doors.”

The event is free and for more information call Joan Sutton on 01684 565411 or Gwen Draper on 01684 575537. For more information about Freetime events visit festivalhousing.org/calendar.
