A MAN from Malvern killed himself after struggling to cope with being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, an inquest found.
Edward Brookes, known as Ted, was found dead in a bedroom of his Hayslan Green home on Thursday, August 4.
Speaking at the coroner’s court in Stourport Worcestershire’s deputy coroner Marguerite Elcock said Mr Brookes had killed himself and the cause of death was asphyxiation by plastic bag.
The inquest heard how the retired engineer was struggling with the effects of Parkinson’s disease and increasing problems with mobility and dependency on his wife, Brenda, as he had been an active man prior to his diagnosis in April.
