A GREAT Malvern hotel and restaurant is celebrating after being awarded a second AA Rosette for culinary excellence.
Husband and wife team Chris and Barbara Morgan, who own the Cotford Hotel and L’amuse-Bouche Restaurant, in Graham Road, discovered they had received the award on the same day as they celebrated their fourth anniversary at the business.
Only a handful of venues in the whole county have been awarded two rosettes,an accolade reserved for “outstanding restaurants in the local area offering consistently high standards, depth of knowledge regarding the selection and quality of ingredients used.”
Mr Morgan said: “I have worked in some prominent hotels all over the world and I have never achieved this before in 40 years as a chef. It is a real feather in the cap for myself, The Cotford and also for the town.”
“It shows that the team here is very much on the ball. Everything has to be spot on, not just the quality of the food but the surroundings, the welcome and the way staff react with the customers. It is the whole package.”
