STAFF at Malvern St James sports and fitness centre are gearing up for a 24-hour exercise fund-raising event in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
The Tri-Red Challenge begins at 10am on Friday (February 25) and is timed to co-incide with the charity’s national wear red day.
It comprises eight hours of swimming, followed by a further eight on exercise bikes and then a stint on the treadmill.
Individual participants are scheduled to work out for between 15 minutes and an hour each.
Organiser Nicola Stubbs said: “There are still a few places left and we really want to fill all available time-slots before the event gets underway.”
Entertainment is planned for the evening, with a bar and table tennis challenge, and an open mic night between 6-11pm.
To get involved either visit the centre, in Barnards Green Road, or call 01684 584638.
