MORE jobs are set to be axed at defence firm QinetiQ.
Staff in QinetiQ’s technology solutions division have been informed of a 90-day consultation on their positions.
Spokesman Claire Scotter said the firm expects just under 100 jobs to be lost in total, 50 of those at the Malvern site in St Andrew’s Road.
“Because of the type of business that this department deals with it is experiencing a number of delays in contracts being awarded, cuts in government funding and contracts being cancelled,” she said. “We are having to adjust to the volume and value of contracts that are coming through to match up to that.”
