NOMINATIONS are being sought once again to find people who freely give their time for the benefit and enjoyment of Bromyard’s community.

The Distinguished Citizens Awards, now in their 14th year, give Bromyard and Winslow Town Council the opportunity to officially honour townspeople for their selfless and vital volunteer work.

Since they started 73 recipients have been honoured, including members of local sports clubs and societies, charity workers and fund-raisers.The awards also include a Young Distinguished Citizen category.

Previous recipients include Graham Shortland who was commended for his varied work in the town over 25 years, including at the Conquest Theatre, various festivals in the town, his prescription delivery service and Bromyard Community Transport.
