A PUBLIC meeting has been called at St Mary’s Church in Longdon to discuss the future of the village’s primary school.
It will be held on Thursday, March 3 at 7pm and all are welcome.
Rev Chris Moss said the meeting was not only for the parents of children at St Mary’s CE (VA) Primary School but also the wider community of Longdon.
He said: “We are holding this meeting for two reasons. As it is a Church of England voluntarily aided school we feel we are closely linked to it and owe it to the commnunity to look out for it. It is also to give people another opporunity to raise any issues or concerns they may have.”
The consultation on the future of the school ended on Friday, February 11. Worcestershire County Council’s cabinet will decide on the course of action to follow at its meeting on Thursday, March 10.
