HANLEY Swan village hall was the venue for a grand charity sale on Saturday, February 12.

The Sale Of Sales was organised by Charlotte Carver, to raise money for two good causes: the new community care annexe at St Richard's Hospice and the organ at the church of Our Lady and St Alphonsus at Blackmore Park.

"We had traders from all over the UK, who are members of the Charity Fairs Association, and they were selling very high-quality goods," said Charlotte. "What the total is I don't know yet, but I know we took £636 on the door alone."

Guests were entertained by Magic Circle conjurer Graham Kendall, and hospice fundraising manager Marilyn Peaches was piped in, Highland-Style, before giving a speech.
