A RETIRED college principal from Malvern Wells visited Buckingham Palace to collect his OBE.
Neil Bromley of King Edward Road was received the award in the 2010 Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to further education.
He was principal of North East Worcestershire College in Redditch until last year. During his time there, the college achieved Beacon status and won the Cabinet Office Customer Service Excellence award.
Mr Bromley has lived in Malvern since 1990 and is married to Kay, who is co-ordinator for Malvern Hills Volunteering.
