THE Friends of Dame Laura Knight Society are hosting a weekend in Malvern for the Lamorna Society later this year.
The weekend is on Friday-Sunday, May 6-8, and includes two events that are open to the public.
On Saturday evening, at 6pm, Colwall village hall is the venue for a talk by David Evans of the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts entitled Harold and Laura Knight, A Partnership of Painters. Admission is £5 on the door.
And on Sunday at 10am, John Croft, the great-nephew of the Knights and chair of their estate, will be talking about Laura Knight and the Malverns.
The Knights were prominent artists of the early 20th century who spent a lot of time in Malvern. The Lamorna Society was set up to foster interest in artists who lived in the Lamorna Valley in Cornwall, which the Knights also visited.
