A MALVERN woman will take on her fear of flying when she jumps from a plane for a charity skydive.
Mandy Harding, of Eston Avenue, will be making a tandem skydive on Saturday, August 6 at Hinton Airfield, near Brackley in Northamptonshire, to raise money for St Richard’s Hospice.
Mrs Harding, who is a volunteer minibus driver for the charity, said: “I'm not really keen on flying. I do fly, but I dislike the take off and landing and once in the air, I have to suppress the desire to get out or open a window. It’s taken me a while to get up the courage and also to convince my husband Clive who is a light aircraft pilot and can’t understand why anyone would want to jump from a ‘perfectly serviceable aircraft’.”
She needs to raise a minimum of £395 to do the jump for free.
