YOUNGSTERS from Leigh and Bransford Primary School have raised some vital funds for a local hedgehog shelter.
The school held a non-uniform day on Friday (December 17) and raised more than £70 for Malvern Hedgehog Rescue.
Pupils also drew hedgehog pictures, and Viv Smith, who runs the shelter, was invited to judge the best entries.
She said: “The drawings were absolutely brilliant and it was very difficult to just pick two winners from each class.
“The school’s support is much-appreciated. I have got 43 hedgehogs in at the moment and am getting through 15 tins of dog and cat food every day. The funds they raised will be a great help and I am extremely grateful to them.”
