FATHER Christmas will be making a special appearance at Hanley Swan Village Store tomorrow (Saturday, December 18) in support of the Midlands Air Ambulance.

His festive visit will mark the occasion of the store’s second annual ‘Grand Draw’ in aid of the charity.

Last year’s event was a great success, raising almost £600. Ros Davies, who owns the store and post office with her husband Alan, said: “I was so impressed with the generosity that was shown last year. Everyone who passed the shop dropped some money in the buckets.

“The charity means so much to so many people and everyone is always happy to help where they can.”

This year’s event is already shaping up to be a similar success, with the draw’s top prize of a hand-made, bespoke doll’s house attracting a great deal of interest.

Tickets for the draw cost £1 and are available from the store or St James Church, in Welland.
