CHER Lloyd has been enjoying some home comforts this week as she gets used to life after X Factor.

The Malvern teenage singing sensation was given a rare opportunity to take some time off after an “eventful” 12 weeks.

Her proud father Darren Lloyd said his daughter had been catching up on her sleep at their Malvern Link home but she would soon be very busy with bookings and appearances. “I don’t think she’s going to stop, this is just a platform,” he said.

He added: “It has changed her life but to us she is still the same, apart from she has matured a lot.”

The 17-year-old has bookings all over Britain in the coming weeks, from her show at Tramps nightclub in Worcester on Monday, December 20 to Glasgow.

Mr Lloyd said talks of a record deal were ongoing but there were no concrete offers yet. It is thought Black Eyed Peas star Will.i.am is interested in working with Cher, after performing live with her last weekend. “Something will happen but who it will be with we don’t know,” he added.

The Lloyd family now hope to enjoy a little time to relax before Cher continues her singing career.

Mr Lloyd said: “We would like to thank everyone who has voted for her, without them she wouldn’t have got that far. We are really grateful for everyone’s support.”

She left the show on the first day of the final last Saturday (December 11) with Matt Cardle going on to win the hit TV talent show.
