FIRE fighters were called to a church in Upton after gas was smelled there.
The call came at 10.45am on Wednesday, December 8, to the Baptist church in Old Street, and an appliance from the Upton station was sent out.
The crew ventilated the church and gave advice that a gas engineer should be called.
