FATHER Christmas will be popping into Hanley Swan Village Store next week to help raise money for a well-loved charity.

The festive visit on Saturday, December 18, will mark the second annual Grand Draw in aid of Midlands Air Ambulance by the local convenience store and Post Office on Malvern Road.

This year Hanley Swan residents will be given the chance of winning a handmade, bespoke doll’s house.

“Everyone is so excited about the chance of winning the doll’s house. It’s wonderfully furnished with chimney pots, miniature kettles and outdoor table and chairs.

“We’ve had a great deal of interest already with many people buying numerous tickets in the hope that they will be the lucky winner,” said Rosalind Davies, owner of the Village Store for the past eight years.

Last year’s Grand Draw attracted 80 local residents and raised £584.93 for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

Tickets for the Grand Draw are priced at £1 from Hanley Swan Village Store and St James Church, Welland. Winners will be announced on the day from 10am-noon.
