THE organiser of a Christmas charity parade to be held next Saturday, December 18, is looking for a Father Christmas costume and sledge to make the event a success.
Rev Val Needham, organiser of the charity lantern parade, has secured the services of volunteer Graham Scaife to be Father Christmas at the event on Belle Vue terrace, but he needs a outfit - waist 36 - and sledge.
Rev Needham is also looking for the loan of a PA system and some musicians or singers.
The parade is in aid of two animal charities, the Safe Haven for Donkeys Sanctuary and the Colour Wheel Appeal in aid of Canine Partners.
The Colour Wheel Appeal has been organised by Stella Hewett, who has had her life changed by her assistance dog Jenson.
The event starts at 6pm.
Anyone who can help should contact Rev Needham on val@blessingsforall.co.uk or 07788 111113.
