MALVERN Hills Coppice Network is holding three midweek volunteer sessions at Torr Coppice, Alfrick Pound.
The coppice is a site of special scientific interest (SSSI) to the north of the Knapp and Papermill reserve, next to Leigh Brook.
The volunteering will involve coppicing and stacking hazel, and burning some of the brash. All tools will be provided, along with hot drinks, and those attending will be able to cook their own lunch on the fire.
Phil Hopkinson, of Malvern Coppicing, who is organising the events, said: “No experience is necessary and you can work at your own pace and take a break whenever you wish.
“The work area is on a slope so please wear stout shoes or boots and bring along old clothing suitable for the weather.”
The sessions run from 9.30am-4pm on Tuesdays, November 9, 16 and 23. People are welcome to attend for part of the day.
