THERE is just a week left for local community groups to apply for Malvern Hills Lions Club’s seasonal grants scheme.
The Lions have £1,000 to give out as part of their twice-yearly scheme, with groups welcome to apply for up to £250.
The project, which is run with support from the Gazette, has benefited a huge number of local causes over the last eight years, including Malvern Sea Cadets and the Borrowers Toy Library.
Applications should contain the name and address of the organisation, a contact name and phone number, how much money is being sought and what it will be used for.
They should be sent to Malvern Hills Lions Club Christmas Grant Scheme, Malvern Gazette, Hylton Road, Worcester, WR2 5JX.
Submissions should arrive no later than Friday, November 12, giving the Lions time to consider the applications and announce successful applicants in time for Christmas.
Any groups not successful will automatically have their applications held over for consideration in the Lions’ easter grants scheme.
