MALVERN’S X Factor hopeful Cher Lloyd returns to the screen this weekend as the popular talent show enters its ‘bootcamp’ stage.

Having sailed through the initial auditions, wowing judges with her performance of Soulja Boy’s Turn My Swag On, the 17-year-old former Dysons pupil is bookmakers’ tip to win the competition.

Her legions of fans will be keeping their fingers crossed that Cher can take the next step and make it through to the judges’ houses round - just one stage away from the programme’s live finals.

Cher has been praised for having her own unique style and she told the Gazette this is something she wants to retain as the show progresses.

“That is one of the main points that I want to get over,” she said. “I want to take songs and put my own stamp on them.”

The bootcamp shows will be screened on ITV1 at 7.30pm tomorrow (Saturday, September 25) and 7.45pm on Sunday.
