OXFAM is looking for enthusiastic local volunteers to join a new fundraising group in Malvern.
The charity is keen to find passionate and dedicated local people to raise money in support of its work. The group would also work alongside Oxfam's shop at 18/22 Church Street in Malvern town centre to help raise funds and awareness of Oxfam's campaigns.
Regional fund-raising manager Jenna Wills said: “Malvern has a lot going on making it a vibrant town with fun, community orientated events taking place all the time. We know that there are local people who want to make a difference and would be perfect to help Oxfam change people’s lives for the better.”
Oxfam hopes to start a group of fund-raisers who meet regularly and organise regular events to raise money for the charity.
Fund raising can be anything from simple cake sales to gala dinners, anything the volunteers choose.
“This is an opportunity to help make a real difference to people living in poverty, to meet new people in the community and develop personal skills,” said Mrs Willis.
