A PROJECT that aims to inspire young people to help the environment by changing how they live is coming to Newent on Tuesday, July 27.
The Otesha Project will perform a play Morning Choices at the Newent Bandstand area near Newent Lake as part of the Newent Festival. This will be followed by interactive workshops on bike maintenance and the global trade system.
The event is part of the Otesha Project’s Lands End to John O’Groats Cycle Tour. A team of young people on bikes will be stopping at schools, festivals and communities along the way to perform the Otesha play and inspire change in the way young people live their lives.
Their stop in Newent has been organised by the local environmental group Transition Newent.
