THE talents of more than 700 local students are on show this week at South Worcestershire College in Malvern.

The exhibition, which is on until Wednesday, July 15, showcases the work of students from the Access to Art, City and Guilds or OCN courses, as well as those on part-time recreational courses.

The work on show at the Albert Road North-based college includes huge variety of different disciplines including oil painting, , drawing, sculpture, embroidery, jewellery, patchwork and quilting, soft furnishing, glass work, bookbinding and much more.

Among those showing their work is Liz Rawlings. She has completed the Access Course, won a student award, achieved a place at university and started a new job, which uses her new skills. All this is made even more exciting because she was unable to complete ‘A’ level art 44 years ago and has now been able to reach her original goals.

The exhibition is open daily from 10am to 3pm, except Sunday.
