THE Professor of Applied Meteorology at Birmingham University is coming to Malvern soon to talk about that favourite British subject, the weather,.
Professor John Thornes has been invited to talk by Transition Malvern Hills, whixch was set up to promote local action to tackle climate change and oil dependency .
Professor Thornes's research interests include cultural climatology, atmospheric management, road weather forecasting, adaptation to climate change and environmental art. He has published books on the representation of the sky by such artists as Constable and Monet.
The talk starts at 7.30pm on Wednesday, April 14, at Priory Lodge Hall, Avenue Road, and entry is free.
