A PLUS size model from near Malvern has backed a campaign to see more ‘real’ women featured in magazines.
Lucy Shropshall, who is a size 14-16 and lives in Leigh Sinton has modelled for designers such as Monsoon, Marks & Spencer, Evans, LK Bennett, Hobbs and Azendi. She has also featured in Italian Vogue.
But the 27-year-old, who was passed over for the catwalk show at London Fashion Week featuring size 12-14 models for being “too big”, has put her name – and face – to an MP’s campaign for body confidence.
Miss Shropshall, who works for Worcestershire County Council, is backing Liberal Democrat MP Jo Swinson’s campaign, which was launched this month.
The MP is using the campaign to focus on issues such as body image, health, well-being and media literacy coaching.
