LOCAL public services are to receive a cash boost following the success of a partnership bringing together Malvern Hills District Council with neighbouring district authorities, Worcestershire County Council and public service providers such as the police and NHS.
The Worcestershire Partnership has been rewarded with just over £4.4m to improve the local economy, the environment, community safety and cohesion and services for children and young people.
The money will be used to fund more partnership schemes in the county to help young people, strengthen communities and tackle issues such as worklessness.
Chair of the Worcestershire Partnership Michael Clarke said: “All of the organisations in the partnership have worked extremely hard during the last three years to earn this reward.
“We're delighted to be able to bring extra resources into the local economy, which will be used to take our work further forward and make an even greater difference in our communities.”
