A LOCAL council is donating £500 to a junior football team to help it replace stolen kit.
Members of Upton Town Council voted unanimously in favour of making the donation to Welland Juniors Football Club, which was targeted by thieves earlier this year.
Coun Eric White said: “Considering the amount of good work that the club is doing and the number of children that are participating I think it is only right that this council gives a donation.”
