UPTON Blues Festival is starting the countdown to its 2010 event with a special fund-raising concert featuring top blues orchestra The Big Blues Tribe.

The concert is being held at the King’s Head in Upton at 8pm next Saturday (April 10) and tickets cost £5, available on the door or in advance from the venue and various shops in Upton.

The Blues Festival, one of the country’s top free music events, takes place in Upton this year from July 16-18.

Grahame Bunn, chairman of the organising committee, said: “This year we will have two main stages for the first time with more bands and more happening so we need to raise more revenue than ever to make the festival the best ever.”
