MALVERN Splash will be celebrating its 20th anniversary on Monday (November 2).
To mark the occasion the chairman of Malvern Hills District Council Reg Farmer will be visiting the centre at 10.30am.
Councillor Joe Smith, deputy leader of MHDC, is delighted the council is getting involved with the leisure centre’s celebrations.
“This council has enjoyed a long and successful partnership with SLM, who manage the facility,” he said. “As a member for the past 10 years, I have witnessed the way in which the Splash has developed and enhanced its reputation as a top class leisure facility.
“As well as helping thousands of children learn to swim, the Splash has also helped world class athletes hone their skills and helps hundreds of people each year reach their fitness goals.”
He added: “I would like to congratulate the staff at the Splash for their consistent hard work and dedication and I look forward to working with them well into the future.”
